Fleurish Workshop Carillon Beach
Interested in learning more about styling and florals? Then you won’t want to miss this workshop put on by two of our industry leaders in the 30A area. Shelby Peaden of Shelby Peaden Events and Brian Watson of Mytrie Blue have teamed up to bring your Fleurish Workshop, a one day course held August 15, 2017 at the beautiful Carillon Meeting House in Panama City Beach.
Workshop guests will learn what it takes to create a beautiful and cohesive table top design through styling, paired with floral design to complete the look. After a demonstration from Shelby, guests will be able to go hands on to style and design a table themselves. After a delicious catered in lunch by one of our local favorites, Brian will take over and show us how to create and style a floral centerpiece for the table we previously set with Shelby. Details will include basic tools, mechanics, flower selection and his process but creative choices like foliage and flowers are up to you.
“Brian had the idea, and has been wanting to do something for a while to share his love for flowers,” Shelby says. “He approached me since him and I work so well together, and I was immediately on board. That was when Fleurish Workshop was born.”
Following Brian and Shelby’s instruction, each attendee will be given their own worktable to create their own styled arrangement. Flowers and foliage will be provided and guests are encourage to let their creativeness flow. When the tables are finished, guest photographer Lauren Kinsey will photograph each attendee’s table as a styled tablescape for you to keep and use however you’d like. The day will end with a few cocktails, question and answer, and of course some networking.
“There have not been a ton of local workshops, and our goal is to infuse our area with some creativity and shared love of the industry,” says Shelby. “We welcome entrepreneurs, event planners, and anyone with a passion for design to travel in for this fun event.”
