Adam and Lisa picked Labor Day weekend to have a holiday wedding with their closest family and friends. Read on to find out more about their Seaside Florida wedding day and why they chose this cozy little town as the location to exchange their vows!
How did you two meet?
So I’ll be honest – our meet story isn’t fairytale-esque, but definitely a common one nowadays. Adam and I met on Bumble, the dating app, in November 2015. Two days of texting and phone calls later, Adam took me out to dinner. Now, we are both talkers, so dinner turned into drinks and drinks turned into talking late into the night. From this first date forward, our talking never stopped. One date became two, then three, four, five – and before we knew it, we were attached at the hip.
How did he propose?
Adam proposed on July 23rd, 2017. We had planned a two-week road trip (in my little Mini Cooper) from our home in Plano, TX to California and back! Through Santa Fe and Flagstaff to Laguna Beach and San Diego, Adam and I talked our way through the distance with no need for music or entertainment – have I mentioned we talk a lot?! Half-way through our trip, Adam and I spent a day hiking in the Grand Canyon. Adam managed to find an untouched clearing not too far off the beaten path and led us there under the guise of a photo op. While I was busy snapping away at the views, cheers from seemingly out of nowhere began to fill the canyon. I turned around and there Adam was, ring in hand. My excitement couldn’t be tamed. Before he even made it to his knee, I jumped into his arms screaming (okay, more like happy crying) ‘Yes!’. Where words usually filled the air between us, this one word was all that was needed.
Why did you choose 30A?
We chose Seaside as our wedding destination for all the obvious reasons; the picturesque beaches, the cute town square, the incredible homes and the overall experience we knew our guests would adore – but our largest driver for Seaside was the lifetime of memories collected there between the both of us. While Adam was introduced to the beautiful area as an adult and enjoyed everything there was to offer, I fell in love with Seaside as a little girl. Throughout elementary school and on, my family spent spring and summer breaks in the incredible homes and pristine beaches of Seaside surrounded by friends old and new. Not only, did the area hold some of my fondest childhood memories – but my little girl dreams of getting married on the beach where we had spent so much of our time. When the time came to pick a location, Adam and I knew Seaside was the one.
