About the Owner

Personal Bio: It really is “Avis,” like “Travis.” I was adopted when I was 3 months old from Korea and have a brother who was adopted from El Salvador.  I grew up in metro-Atlanta and attended the University of Georgia, where I majored in Social Work.  (It’s amazing how much you use that stuff)!  When my parents shipped me off to college, they built a house in Seacrest Beach on 30A.  After school, I followed them to the beach and started into the hospitality industry.  In Florida, I met my boss {Victoria – who was my mentor, and after working for her for 5 years, I eventually bought the business from her in 2013}, my hubby {In 2010, I ended my 2nd full wedding season as a Carillon Weddings® bride myself} and now we’re expecting our first baby {girl} in January 2015!  We spend a lot of time together on our boat and enjoying the “Salt Life.”  Although I’m a city-girl at heart, I cannot complain about living along this beautiful Emerald Coast!
My Favorite Quote:
“I always wondered why blessings were in disguise. If I was a blessing, I’d run around naked!” – Sophia Petrillo
“Being in love never goes out of style” – Grace Ormonde
When I refer another vendor, that person must possess these qualities:  Consistency, Passion & Honesty
My Greatest Weakness Is: The pursuit of perfectionism. Thankfully, the older I get, the more I let go.
Something I Would Like People To Know About Me: I’m protective of the people I love. I’m super passionate about people and things.  Once I get an idea in my mind, I will do it.  I always think, “do it right or don’t do it at all.”
Something I Would Like People To Know About My Business: I pour myself into every event and I take great pride in every generous review.  Referrals are the best compliments I could ever receive, and I always feel honored when someone chooses me to help them plan their big day.  My social work background sets me a part from other planners because I’m very focused on the overall personal experience and matching personalities with the brides and vendors, not just abilities and style.  I want people to make a personal connection and really “get” each other.
Where I Grew Up:  Peachtree Corners (Norcross), Georgia
Five Things Most People Do Not Know About Me:  1. I love to scuba dive with my hubby!  2. We went through years of fertility assistance,  3. I’m determined to have a studio loft in Atlanta to go back to and visit the city, 4. I grew up going on mission trips and have always loved serving others, 5. Growing up, I was seriously creeped out about everything! (i.e. Pee Wee Herman, Zoobilee Zoo, dancing elephants in Dumbo, anything anthropomorphism)
