About the Owner
Personal Bio: Brian (aka DJ Brian B) is an industry veteran having recently passed the 20 year mark. He moved from Southern California to Florida in 2006, and from there began to travel across the country to DJ nightlife events and destination private events. Eventually, weddings is where he found his niche, and a passion for them was born. Now with over 30 people on staff and 3 regional offices (New York City, SoCal, Emerald Coast of Florida), Brian and his team are working hard every day to not only be the go-to entertainment company but to change people’s perception of wedding entertainment.
Three Words That Describe Me: 1. Creative, 2. Driven, 3. Optimist
My Favorite Quote: “Without music, life would be a mistake.” – Nietzche
Something I Would Like People To Know About Me: I love great stories; not just reading or listening to them but creating them. To me, the wedding experience is one of the best parts of a couple’s story and I try to do what I can to add to it and make it as memorable as possible.
The Best Compliment I Have Ever Received: The ultimate personal compliment has always been clients moving their date because they want me specifically. Even time it happens, I’m in awe. A close 2nd has been hearing rave reviews on my staff. It never gets old and I truly believe I have the best staff in the business – they pull for one another and treat each event like it’s their own.
If I Had An Extra $100, I Would Do This With It: No brainer – buy something sweet for my wife. She deserves it.
Where I Grew Up: Southern California (the real OC – ha!).
In High School, I Participated In: Sports, theater, student government and music
My Favorite Alcoholic Beverage Is: I don’t drink but if I did, it would be something blended with fruit and an umbrella 😉
Five Things Most People Do Not Know About Me: 1. I played keyboard/sang in a disco cover band called “AfroMative Action,” 2. I’ll take a good Skim Chai Tea Latte over coffee every day of the week, 3. I cannot pass up an Express Spa inside airports, 4. My first couch consisted of my astro-van bench seats, 5. I bowled a perfect game (on Wii)

B-Boy Productions on 30a Music isn’t just a career for Brian Buonassissi. It’s a grassroots passion stemming all the way back to his high school days playing keyboard in a disco cover band called “Afromitive Action”. Yeah, we thought it was funny too. Most people probably think if you’re going to get married on 30A it has to be a beach wedding.
