Today we’re giving some 30a Local Love to one very important Girl Boss, the founder of 30A Wedding Co and owner/operator of Peach and Pearl Events and Carillon Weddings, Avis Glenister! We sat down with her to get to know a little more about who she is and what sets her apart. Take a peek inside to see what she has to say…
Tell me about your business! What do you do?
I am owner of Carillon Weddings®. My company is contracted as the venue managers who run the beautiful venue spaces Carillon Beach has to offer! I am owner and lead planner of Peach and Pearl Events, providing planning services for weddings and events, and I am also founder of 30a Wedding Co.

How can you tell your service is a perfect fit for your clients?
I offer different levels of planning services to clients and after an initial phone call, getting to know the client and the feel of the event, I suggest which service I believe would be best for their expectations! Once a client has decided a service, I then send a questionnaire to the client to really help me understand them and their event! If I believe the client may be looking for something I do not offer, I happily refer them to another great planner who I know will fit their needs!
As a venue manager, I also start with an initial phone call, as well as a venue tour, touring is the best way for the client to really envision their event in the space and gives them all the information they need to really decide if our venue is the perfect fit!
What inspired you to begin your business?
I was approached by the former owner of Carillon Weddings® to work for her, and after a few years, when she decided to retire, I bought the business from her! I loved being a venue manager and planning in Carillon Beach but realized I would also love to venture out and plan weddings in other locations, hence Peach and Pearl Events was born!

What’s one of your services you’re most proud of, and why?
I take the most pride in my planning services, as the client has chosen me to plan and coordinate a very important and special day in their life, I do not take the responsibility lightly. I am always honored when a bride trusts me to make her wedding day dreams come true! I believe my background in social work really contributes to the way I plan and coordinate as I always make the effort to really understand the brides personality and needs.
What are some other interests, loves and passions of yours?
I am first and foremost a mother to two beautiful babies! My daughter and son are my greatest joy, as a family we enjoy boating, swimming, and traveling!
