Who knew a question at an ice cream shop could lead to true love? Read on to learn more about Chris and Natalie’s Watercolor Boathouse Wedding, how they met, and why they chose 30A for their big day.
According to their wedding page on The Knot, Chris and Natalie officially met at the University of Alabama in spring of 2009. However, they learned much later in their relationship that their paths actually first crossed a semester earlier in an ice cream shop. It was there that Natalie was asked by an older sister in her sorority to retrieve a name and number from any boy in the shop she did not know. Turns out, that boy just happened to be Chris! Talking about it later they realized that this was when they first met.
When we asked her Why 30A: “We actually live down here, my husband is a boat captain in the area. Unfortunately we are moving to Alabama soon because I start Optometry school in the fall. So we really wanted to capture every moment we could down here before we had to leave. That’s why we decided to have the wedding down here. Its also pretty much a half way point for both of our families, as his side lives in South Florida and mine live in Georgia. Besides that 30A is such a neat area, where we got engaged and have had so many great memories. We both will miss it so much!”
