The title. Need we say more? As the trends in the wedding world whirl we have been bombarded with the recent up flow in bow ties in ceremonies along 30a. We believe it’s a perfect combination and, when done the right way, can add something special to every groom awaiting the arrival of his beautiful bride.
Now, our 30a vendors are untying the secret behind what makes a GREAT bow tie and when the occasion deems appropriate.
BIRTH OF THE BOW TIE
The bow tie first entered the fashion scene as a new style of necktie in the beginning of the 19th century. By the mid 1880s, the bow tie had become a staple in the fashion conscious man’s wardrobe and was soon being donned by stars like James Bond and politicians like Winston Churchill.
The bow tie has transcended since its introduction and mass acceptance into men’s dress from it’s traditional and formal stereotype. The bow tie can now be found in a variety of different looks from dapper, to the fashion runway, to weddings across the globe.
And we at 30a Wedding Co. don’t think it’s going anywhere.
PREPARE TO WEAR THE BOW TIE
Our 30a Wedding Vendors have seen their fair share of bow tie loving brides. But, on occasion they tend to tie up the flow of progress on a wedding day.
For one particular wedding the bride chose a gorgeous velvet fabric with silk backing for the bow tie. What nobody knew, was the material was very difficult to maneuver.
“Yeah, the guys blew the timeline to shreds with that endeavor,” said Candice Kaushagen of Candice K Photography.
Vendors unite! The job ended up getting done and the bow ties looked boomin’.
“We had Youtube going and others assisting,” said Shelby Peaden of Shelby Peaden Events. “Lesson: learn to tie bow ties ahead of time.”
WHEN TO WEAR THE BOW TIE
So, now that we’ve covered a few of the ebbs and flows of a good bow tie when is it appropriate to wear a bow tie? Our 30a Wedding Co. Vendors have the answer.
“Every time is the right time to wear a bow tie,” said Wesley Leytham of Rae Leytham Photography. “They don’t blow around on the beach so they’re super easy to wear and look great in photos.”
Good point. The bow tie kind of leaves everything else blowing in the wind.
